Comments: Did you wait for him at the stage door?

Unfortunately, no - I didn't have any time to (I had to catch a coach home). I did, however, manage to get a present to him through the lovely man on the Stage Door.

Thank you so so much for posting the journal, the program, the new adverts...I'm trying to pace myself and not watch them all at once. :D
=O I am so jealous =D I wish I could have gone. XD Thanks so much for posting all this (: Off-topic, but do you know if Kaiji is going to be released in the UK? Thanks (:

A15? I was in B21 on the 6th. I flew to the UK only for MUSASHI. Saw all four performances. It was just BRILLIANT. I've started calling the whole cast "Ninagawa's Dream Team."

theheretik - Hehe, no problem (^_^) I have plenty more updates to catch up on. I will be posting them this weekend probably. Plus a birthday tribute fanvideo I have been working on~! (: - Unfortunately, I don't think Kaiji will be released in the UK (at least not in the near future). The Japanese DVD release doesn't even have eng subs. But, I have managed to find a Chinese release on Ebay that does, if that helps? Higuma - Really?? We must have been quite close then! Did you see when Yoshida-san's wig came off in the scene where they are all tied together? (^_^)

Oh yes. And I loved how they handled it. 100% professionals. In the 3rd they went at this scene rather carefully, to prevent a second slip, but in the 4th performance they were totally unstoppable. They had a couple of "whoops!" moments throughout all four runs. I think it was in the 3rd performance, Oishi-san failed to tie the swords together properly. Otome's wakizashi got lose and slipped out of the scabbard. But he wasn't phased by it, untied the bunch of swords, tied them again and while doing so continued to play his part. In the end, when the ghosts surrounded Musashi and Kojiro in the 2nd performance, Fujiwara-san was looking right at me. That was a stare... yikes! Sent a shiver down my spine. Even though I admit, I went to London to finally see Suzuki Anne-san live (and she's just brilliant on stage and I totally LOVE Otome, well "fake" Otome lol, she's such a classic character, on one hand she tearfully endures her "fate", but when given the chance she's extremely defiant with a lot of spunk.) I wonder if this "revival" version will hit the market as DVD in Japan. I hope so, though most likely it won't, since there's already the original version. And I hope today's premiere in Saitama went as well as in London.
